Located in sleepy sedate Sanur, this hotel fronts the beach and has lovely sunrise views over Nusa Penida island. The La Taverna is however in the center of shops, restaurants and some nightlife.
The rooms are medium sized, with pretty Balinese touches.. Furnished with antiques and with heavy use of ceramics, the rooms are comfortable and stylish. Rooms are air-conditioned, have spotless showers and toilets, and do not have a television.
The shady swimming pool is a delight. The gardens are well kept and a joy in the evenings. The hotel is looking a little old but is still maintaned.
The La Taverna Restaurant offers various menus. The food is better than most places along that particular stretch.
