The Hidden Paradise and Coral View Hotel are located next to each other at the quiet town of Lipah in Amed. This is a little vsited part of Bali that offers brilliant seaviews, and, if you are coming from Kuta, peace and soltitude.

Both hotels offer beautiful beachside setting with teak furniture, and open-air Balinese style bathrooms. Some of the rooms could be better maintained and we suggest that you ask to see a few rooms before deciding on one.

We particularly liked the family rooms with two bedrooms set on two floors. The rooms do not have TVs but if you must watch reruns of Seinfeld, the hotel lounges have cable televisions.

 Both hotels have well maintained tropical gardens. The pool is a little small, but set in lovely foliage with ample shade.

The Coral View has an excellent dive centre. Eurodive is professionally run with friendly guides and reasonable rates. Most divers visit the Liberty wreck at Tulamben, and the Japanese wreck. Both sites are a short drive away. Snorkelers can treat themselves to the house reef that is teeming with marine life.

The Hidden Paradise has a lovely beach side restaurant that serves excellent seafood.  The resorts also rent bicycles and organize trips to Besakih and the water gardens at Amlapura.
